It can often be tricky to know what to wear in December as it’s cold outside but often warm inside plus you’re probably out and about prepping for Christmas, catching up with friends or just trying to get stuff done with little ones around. (And there are probably days where you just don’t want to get out of your pyjamas!)
Here are some fab style tips to help you feel and look good whilst taking into account the need for being practical whilst you're rushing around being mum.
1. Have a gorgeous winter coat
Warm, practical yet still want to look stylish? Whether you prefer a comfy oversized style or a long maxi style coat, make sure you’re comfortable!
2. The LBO (little black outfit)
The LBD is always a winner but when we have children, this can sometimes feel tricky as it shows up all the little marks from sticky fingers! So we're calling it the LBO by adding a stylish scarf or pashmina to your Little Black Outfit to hide any slipups that you need (they are also great as a cover up if you’re breastfeeding or double up as an extra blanket if baby is sleeping whilst you're out)
3. Add a pop of colour
Add a stylish necklace in a funky colour or stack some bracelets to add some festive cheer to your outfit. We have a fab range of colours and styles to suit everyone.
Check out our range now or read our blog to see our fave colours for accessorising at this time of year.
4. Funky (comfortable!) shoes
If you’re anything like me, then I love my heels. However, with two young children, it feels like a lifetime ago that I wore them regularly so now whenever I do pop them on, my feet are so unused to it that I need to make sure I choose comfy ones too! There are some gorgeous flat boots around at the moment though if you want to be stylishly practical and are on the go!
5. Layer it up!
Layers are a great way to stay on trend but juggle the change in temperatures. I always find I’m stripping off if it’s too hot inside, but then need to throw more on when it’s cold outside.
6. A stylish hat
As much as none of us like “hat hair” when we take off our hat, I find it much better option than arriving somewhere as a shivering, chattering form of myself! Choose a hat that complements your coat or go for something bright and bold.
