As I've been sharing some amazing stories of women during my "March of Inspiring Mums" interview series, it's got me thinking a lot about why I set up Halia Rose. I've also been reflecting on my very own journey into motherhood and how I felt on the eve of becoming a mum for the first time...
Today's interview is with Stacey Harrison, mum to three children from Leeds.
An ex physiotherapist, motherhood led Stacey down a new career path with the aim of trying to find a flexible job and income around her young family. She decided to set up her business We Are Scamp with her sister.
Today Stacey tells us why dividing her day between mum duties and work commitments enables her to feel less stressed and actually get more done. She also recommends not being too shy to ask for help when you need it and getting outside for fresh air helps her children open up and be chatty!
Our latest interview is with Joy Gregory, a mum to two boys from Chesterfield, Derbyshire and today shares her journey from being a flight attendant to becoming a highly regarded, successful style & confidence coach.
Following a personal battle with an eating disorder she decided to use her experience and knowledge, coupled with her passion for clothing to empower other women in finding the confidence to love their body and dress in the best way for them.
She also shares some fab tips on managing mum guilt and why doing it your way is the best way!
Our latest interview is with Dara Stringham, a women's tailor and designer with a motto of "there is no perfect size, only the perfect fit". She has also launched a gorgeous range of scarves to tie in with International Women's Day with inspiring quotes printed on the silk.
Dara shares with us why boundaries, support and self-care enables her to juggle her business around her 3 young daughters (aged 2, 5 and 8).
She lives with her family in Isleworth, North London although hails from a multicultural background...she is British-Canadian-American, describes herself as mid-Atlantic and grew up in Germany!
